Bakugan is a very popular game for boys 6-13 that combines skill with strategy. It uses colorful toys, not unlike transformer robots. Bakugan themselves are magnetic, spring-loaded marbles that -- when exposed to a metal "gate card" -- burst open to reveal a fearsome warrior. I am a grown woman and I must admit, even I want to play with these things. Definitely one of the most popular kids toys of the season.
Barbie's 3 Story Townhouse - It's big, it's pink, it's not the cheapest toy out there. But, if your daughter has been more nice than naughty this year, it would be worth it to see her face light up.
Zhu Zhu Hamster - At first I didn't get the appeal of this furry little thing that comes with its own exercise ball and hamster wheel. But, well, they kind of grow on you. Get one and you'll see what I'm talking about.
